The Area

Blue Barn is located ten minutes from the M4 motorway just off the ancient Roman road which runs between Marlborough and Cirencester. Its setting close to the famous Ridgeway, is ideal for walkers wishing wishing to explore the miles of ancient byways on the doorstep.
The historic market town of Marlborough is ten minutes away, with its very good shopping centre of small bespoke fashion boutiques and independent shops, together with a number of excellent restaurants, cafes, winebars, and
pubs to relax.

The historic cities of Oxford, Bristol, Bath, Salisbury and Winchester are all under an hour away. There are many events that take place throughout the year in this beautiful area, Marlborough Jazz Festival, Barbury Castle Horse Trial and Marlborough College Summer School* to name just a few.

Other famous attractions include Avebury Stone Circles, West Kennet Long Barrows, Stonehenge, Crofton Beam Engines, the Kennet & Avon Canal, and the White Horses carved into the Wiltshire countryside.
